Hello Cerritos Families,
The counseling department has met with students one-on-one to review their transcripts, post secondary plans and course selection for the 2025-26 school year. Please log onto your Aeries portal and check your Course Requests. Please check to see that these courses are what you are requesting for the next school year.
Please log into Aeries, select “Classes” then scroll down to "Course Requests" and review the courses listed.
The courses you see reflect a list of classes not specific to teachers or periods. Please note that unscheduled periods, sports and performing arts placements are subject to change based on tryouts or auditions. If you have questions or concerns, please email your student's counselor by
March 3rd to make request any changes. After March 7th, no additional changes will be made to schedules for the 2025-26 school year.
As a reminder, we create courses based on selections requested by students. During August distribution days, only schedule CORRECTIONS will be addressed. Please see below for acceptable and unacceptable scheduling corrections:
Acceptable scheduling errors include:

student is missing a required course for graduation
-
student has been scheduled into two classes during the same period
-
student has a gap in their schedule
-
student has been scheduled into a course they have previously passed
-
student has been scheduled into a course out of sequence
-
student did not pass a class that was a recommendation for the next class

student completed summer coursework and placement needs to be adjusted

student schedule needs to be adjusted due to tryouts or other auditions
Unacceptable requests include:

student changes their mind, including level changes and/or courses different than what was previously verified

student requesting to take classes during a specific class period

Student requesting to take classes with a specific teacher
